Look What Daddy Bought!

So, the time has come for our family to have one of these little dirt bikes. I knew full well that this day would come. Just looking at this bike with my daughter on it creates some deep emotions for me...emotions that want to protect my little babies. :)

Aaron grew up with dirt bikes and he wants his kids to at least try them. He was able to get this bike for a really great deal and it's a pretty sweet machine, I must say! He took the kids to the motorcycle shop and got all the protection gear so they have less chance of getting hurt, and doesn't Faye look cute with all the gear?

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, but I am just getting around to sharing them. We took the kids to the Greenbelt behind the house and Faye got the chance to ride. Owen is a bit too small yet to ride the motorcycle. It was so funny watching Aaron ride on the back of it with Faye to teach her. She wasn't really that excited about the bike and she got herself all the way out on the trail and didn't want to come back in. But what we know about Faye is that she needs time to process new things, and sure enough--the next day she was begging Aaron to take her back out again! She did really well managing the throttle, but it will take some time to get better at riding.
