Faye's Baptism

Easter was a really exciting day for our family. Not only were we celebrating the meaning of Easter, but Faye was baptized. She has shown a true heart of repentance and a desire to follow Jesus. Her faith has matured and she understood the reasons for baptism and desired to make a public profession of her faith. Our pastor, Eric; and Aaron baptized her during the church service on Sunday. We had many family members there to witness. It was such a joy! If you asked Faye the meaning of baptism she would tell you that it's not an act that saves her. Her salvation has come from putting her trust in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Baptism is an outward profession to others of her faith. Our pastor has encouraged us that if a child is old enough in maturity to understand the need for baptism, there is not reason to wait! Faye did this out of obedience to God's word and we supported her. We are so proud!
